Sabbatical art pilgrimage: Europe - Day 8
This morning I have been to the well known and controversial church of Assy which was built by Maurice Novarina with a wide range of commissions from major modern artists organised by Pere Couturier. See http://www.histoire-passy-montblanc.fr/patrimoine-de-passy/patrimoine-religieux/eglises-et-temple/leglise-notre-dame-des-alpes/. I have also visited an earlier Novarina church nearby at Le Fayet which has work by the Saint Luc Group.
